“Death is swallowed up in victory”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
” (1 Corinthians 15:54-55 ESV).
Adam was a living soul. Paul uses the phrase “man of dust” to describe Adam, but he also uses the same description for us and for Jesus - the last man who demonstrated his power over death through his resurrection. Because of his victory we are not destined for the perishable, but for the imperishable - the eternal kingdom of heaven.
Action: Where do you feel in your body the weight of the curse of the earth? Pay attention this week and ask God for patience as we anticipate the culmination of his final victory over death.
