Facilitators: Becky Dunn & Lisa Bullock
Length: 7 weeks, Aug. 27-Oct. 8
Homework: 3 days of personal study

From the first sentence to the last, Ruth reveals a profound truth: the God who rules the universe is intimately involved in His people's lives. Against a backdrop of loss, uncertainty, and difficult choices, we'll discover God's loving hand at work through the lives of ordinary people in Bethlehem. He is faithful to protect His people and accomplish His purpose in each of us.

Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus, hearing Him say, "Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you." Those words still speak to women today.

Join author Kristi McClelland as she transports us back to Jesus' world to follow women who encountered the Living God. Explore the historical and cultural context of His time to understand Jesus more deeply and grow in worship of Him.

Book of Joshua

Facilitators: Carolyn Grube & Eppie Dietz
Length: 12 weeks, Aug. 27-Nov. 12
Homework: None

This study of the book of Joshua will use a verse-by-verse inductive method to look deeply at Joshua as he bravely takes on battles and enemies in his life's work after Moses dies and he finds himself thrust into leadership. Throughout his journey, he discovers that God is ever faithful in helping him achieve victory.

We will dig deeply into the text and enhance our understanding with insights from biblical scholars such as Warren Wiersbe and John MacArthur when additional perspective on specific verses is helpful. This study does not require homework. However, participants are encouraged to read Bible commentaries or other resources in advance, if they wish, to prepare for and enrich each week's discussion.

Participants will need a three-ring binder and will be asked to print a PDF that will be emailed each week.

Walking with God by Beth Moore

Facilitators: Pat Good and Sherry McCarthy
Length: 6 weeks, Aug. 27-Oct 1
Homework: Daily personal study in workbook

What does it really mean to walk with God―not just for a season, but for a lifetime? No two people in Scripture walked with God in the same way, and the same is true for all of us. Sometimes, a stretch of miles when God seems gloriously obvious can be followed by months of wondering where he’s gone. God has his own objectives for each season of our walks, and some of them will remain a mystery until we see his face.

Whether you’re just beginning your faith journey or have been walking with God for decades, this study will teach you to walk nearer and more attentively with God every day.

The study book may be purchased at Christianbook or Amazon.
