BOTH SESSIONS: Cost $10.00

Ruth and Esther: Living with Commitment (10 weeks: Sept 2-Nov 4)
with Beth Wade

It is difficult to trust God with the unknown. We can run away, or we can rely on God to help us through the most difficult choices in our lives. This session we will dive into Esther and Ruth. Often relegated to women's Bible studies, these ancient manuscripts are more than beautiful short stories. These sacred texts are filled with tools to equip ALL believers to live as committed, dedicated, people of faith when life is hard. If you've ever felt the outsider; the underdog; abandoned; or just like you needed a do-over, come join us around the table as we discover anew these inspired words of God and witness His character, faithfulness and sovereign control on display. (There may even be a glimpse into end-times prophecy!) Each week we will hear a portion of the scripture together and discuss its meaning. No preparation/no homework. This is a low-key, user-friendly approach to reading and understanding these Old Testament scriptures.

Deeply Formed (10 weeks Sept 2-Nov 4) with Dave & Stacey Meers

This Deeply Formed Discussion Group offers a small, nonjudgmental setting where you can thoughtfully consider how to adjust your current rhythm of life to prioritize a more intentional relationship with Jesus. Being Deeply Formed means making a purposeful commitment to live as an apprentice of Jesus: being with Him, becoming like Him, and doing what He did. It’s about moving beyond good ideas and intentions into sustainable, life-giving rhythms that shape us more deeply in His way. Join us as we thoughtfully consider nine practices that shaped Jesus’ life and learn how we can follow His example today.

SESSION 1 (4-5 Week classes beginning September 2 : Cost $5.00

Why We Believe the Bible is TRUE (5 weeks: Sept 2-30)
with Carl Zaiser, Roger Coles, Matt Wightman, Kip Conner, and Mike Zile

The Practice of Scripture (Practicing the Way) requires a steadfast foundation in truth. Yet in today’s culture, that foundation is often challenged. Critics claim that the Bible is full of myths, was merely written by humans, contains copy errors, or is no longer relevant. While there are many objections to the Bible’s authority, a deeper look at the facts reveals an incredible story, one that only the Creator of the universe could orchestrate. Join us as we explore compelling evidence to trust that the Bible is true.

How to Keep Going Strong When Times are Hard (5 weeks: Sept 2-30)
with Marilyn Pavia

Have you ever found yourself in a wilderness? Discouraged, down-trodden, and alone?

Wilderness seasons can happen anywhere. They leave us feeling isolated, even when surrounded by others. Often, these seasons aren’t of our own making. Sometimes they come through the decisions of others or external circumstances beyond our control. The Bible is full of people who walked through the wilderness. In this class, we will look closely at the lives of Elijah, Joseph, Job, and Jesus to better understand the why and how behind these difficult seasons. Their stories show us moments of just when things seemed to be turning around, another blow would come. Yet in their pain, they discovered strength, resilience, and perseverance.

Their journeys are not just ancient stories. They offer powerful and relevant insight for our lives today. Your circumstances do not determine your destiny. Your faith and resilience do. Come join us as we share the struggles we face and explore how, through faith, we can withstand, grow, and overcome them.

On Mission: Rule of Life for The Great Commission (5 weeks: Sept 2-30)
with Jacob Schoettle & Kristie McCaw

God's mission is not just for "missionaries out there" - it's for every follower of Jesus, every day, everywhere. This class will help you take the Practicing the Way Rule of Life and apply it directly to being on mission in your everyday life.

Each week we'll focus on one of these six practices - Prayer, Generosity, Scripture, Community, Service, and Witness - exploring how they shape us for God's global and local purposes. Through engaging Bible study, real stories from Calvary-supported missionaries, and practical next steps, you'll discover how your life can have a global gospel impact right where you are.

This is not just a class to attend - it's an invitation to live differently. You'll leave each week with a tangible "call to action" to practice that principle in your own context, with opportunities to join in what God is doing across the street and around the world. If you've ever wondered how your everyday faith can make an eternal difference, join us for On Mission. Let's learn together - and step boldly into the life God is sending us to live.

SESSION 2 (4-5 Week classes beginning October 7): Cost $5.00

Unravelling Your Budget so You Can Unleash Your Generosity (4 weeks: Oct 7-Nov 4, no class Oct 21)
with Mike Zile and weekly guest speakers

The Practice of Generosity can be one of the most challenging habits to develop. With so many demands on our finances, and with the complexity of building a budget that reflects our values, it can feel overwhelming to live out God’s call to be a joyful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).

In this 4-week roundtable discussion, we’ll hear from six Calvary members who will share their personal journeys with money, budgeting, and generosity. The roundtable format is designed to create a comfortable setting for open conversation and questions. We’ll also provide opportunities to explore practical financial strategies—like budgeting, debt reduction, saving, and giving. Our hope is that through this class, you’ll gain helpful tools for managing your finances and discover more deeply the transformative power of biblical generosity.

Christian Living: Poetry Collective (5 weeks: Oct 7- Nov 4)
with Kyle Bradley

This five-week session will be a time of reading, creating (optional), and discussing poetry as we seek to connect with the heart-places God has given us. We will explore what it looks like to see God through creative writings, worship him through creating, and process ideas and emotions through discussing a variety of poems.

Practicing the Way: Sabbath (5 weeks: Oct 7- Nov 4)
with Dan Borth

This four-week class invites you into the countercultural rhythm of setting aside one day each week to stop, rest, delight, and worship. In a world that runs on busyness and burnout, Sabbath offers the kind of deep rest Jesus called “rest for your souls.” Though it may feel unfamiliar at first, Sabbath creates space for healing, freedom, and renewed connection with God. This class will help you explore Sabbath not just as a day off, but as a way of life modeled by Jesus himself—a weekly invitation to step into God's presence and peace.
